Exploring Rhythm – New Drum Class Starting in Forres
Drawing on African and Afro Cuban/Brazilian rhythms but also with guided improvisation and play these classes bring people together to experience the joy and power of rhythm, combining technique and structure along with creative expression and deep listening.
Whether to expand your rhythmic vocabulary for jamming with others or for self-expression, drumming has potential to bring about healing and a feeling of wellbeing and connectedness.
This is a mixed ability class with beginners and returners and all levels are welcome. Djembes, kpanlogos, congas, hand percussion such as claves, cowbells and shakers are also provided people and you are welcome to bring your own drum.
Places are limited but there are a few available – priority given to full block bookings, though drop ins may be available by prearrangement.
